I love being creative in my life so, it was really great to not have to give that up just because I have to be in the hospital. It felt great to still feel like a real person.

It's amazing how the artists and musicians take care of the emotional feelings of patients and help us think about something other thing than our sickness.

- Female patient, 23

Thank you so much for the time away from our sad moments. I loved every minute and will always cherish this time with my family and now new friends. This is an excellent program.

Every single person has a unique story. Every person who walks in this hospital. HNA gives a chance to connect with each other and step into an accepting environment. A place where pain doesn't exist but love. In some way it helps heal even if it's just for a moment. Some people just need that moment to make their world feel better.

- Male patient, 24

Hearts Need Art is by far the most emotionally helpful program I've experienced in the hospital. I think it should be available to all patients everywhere.

This was my first time coming with my fiancé to art class and it was just amazing and I understand why she loves this class.

My son loves the ukulele class. He gets distracted from his daily chemo infusions and routine. It provides a great activity to look forward to and I feel it helps him overcome his stay. His teacher, Miss Izzy, in incredibly patient and thorough and checks on him to make sure he understands the notes/chords. Thank you for providing him this distraction and this outlet through this difficult time.

I was so blessed that some organizations really help the people that are sick. They come and really life our spirit in songs and anything that they can do for you. My family got to hear and enjoy themselves. It put a smile on our faces. Keep doing what you all are doing. I believe that God will supply your needs.

I really enjoyed the music. It helps with feelings of isolation and helps time go a bit faster. It lightens up my mood and spirits to listen to nostalgic music. I really appreciate that the hospital offers this service to patients.

Thank you for this beautiful activity. I thank God for meeting people who use the gifts God gave them for the good of others.

Marisa & Jaime sang beautifully! The songs chosen were wonderful! I will never forget this beautiful surprise. They helped me take my mind off my transplant tomorrow. Please keep them coming.

-Yolanda, patient

Stanzy and Jaime have a majestic talent their voice like that of an angel and the guitar my favorite instrument. A wonderful experience that gave me encouragement during my first chemotherapy here in this wonderful hospital. Very grateful for this music that brings a lot of encouragement and peace to our hearts during the most difficult moment of my life. It is a miracle that you have this kind of ministry for our souls. Grateful.

-Diana, patient

Very nice detail to bring the music to bed as it improves your mood and thus gives you more energy to continue fighting with this disease. Congratulations to those who give this joy to the sick.

-Marco, patient

Izzy & Marisa have excellent voices. Very uplifting experience. It's a very thoughtful way of ministering to your patients. I will share this experience with all of my family and friends. Looking forward to my 1st art class on Monday. May God richly bless these people who are sharing their talent and their love for all humanity.

-Diana, patient

Both groups that played music by bedside were amazing. They were a true blessing. I think this program is just awesome. Everyone is so nice and personal.

-Beverly, patient
